The Rosemary Restaurant London

  •   As the Hungarian culture itself this restaurant is also brilliant and beautiful. The prices are not too low but you pay for quality and you get it. No matter when we went there, these lovely people were always welcoming, the food was always great. Highly...More

  •   Great food and excellent service. The restaurant has a welcoming cosy atmosphere and unique decoration. We were recommended an excellent wine and the food was delicious. Home cooked style dishes. I'll definitely be going back.

  •   Family visit mid Saturday afternoon so nice and quiet. Delicious food, particularly the mushroom and noodles and the Hungarian trifle.

  •   We were here first time to have dinner with friends. I will never go back! We were waiting 2,5!!!! hours for the food, which was ok, but the quality was quite poor. There were three people for serving customers, the young lady was nice and...More

  •   We chose The Rosemary for my husband's birthday celebration while we were visiting London from the US. My husband is half-Hungarian and a professional chef and was thrilled with the food and the memories of his childhood that it invoked. Dining with us were my...More

  •   Very pleasant lookong restaurant from the outside and basic inside. Food tasty and brought back memories. But unfortunately, what the memory that will stay with us is the curt response from the waiter when we asked for a gin and tonic on our arrival, "This...More

  • review rating 5  A lovely place. Really friendly owner, delicious food, and beautiful. There are tons of plants growing outside and inside. We grabbed a little sprig of mint from the wall to nibble after our meal! Plus you get a big hearty plateful for a very reasonable price.

  • review rating 5  Love this place! Each time I come back, the fare exceeds the high expectations that I formed after my previous visit. The food is wholesome and utterly satisfying. I savour every bite of my favourite galuska & lecsó combo. I love the friendly atmosphere. It's a family-run operation and clearly is a very much-loved place. As a Brit who spent over 2 years living in Hungary, it feels like a warm, nostalgia-relieving hug every time I visit. This pretty culinary oasis is well worth every out-of-the-way journey to get there. I always look forward to returning.

  • review rating 5  This is truly the best Hungarian restaurant in London. The menu has all the typical dishes and 60+ types of Hungarian wines, impressive! The quality of the food is outstanding, as well as the service. We were served by the owner who is an absolutely lovely and polite Hungarian man. He told us he makes the túró (cottage cheese) himself, so it's a real homemade product. The atmosphere is fantastic too, we'll certainly go back. Highly recommended!

  • review rating 5  Awesome selection of authentic (real home made quality) Hungarian food; nice extra side options and special drinks as well. Tasty, flavourful, good portions. Helpful, kind, friendly staff. Really nice warm romantic atmosphere (flowers, fish tank, nice lighting). Well worth the trip! Quality is much better than the expensive Gay Hussar was in Soho. We had pea soup, mushroom stew, pickled gherkins and pancakes; everything was so excellent we took away 3 more full meals. Update: Takeaway Chicken stew and lecsó was really tasty even after a day of fridge and microwave (sorry chef). Glad I could have some more nice food at work too after the weekend. Update 2: since then we've visited more times always with the same experience; can't leave without a takeaway 🙂

  • review rating 5  Best Hungarian food in London. The service is amazing, feels like family and the food is just like what a hungarian granny would cook. Love this place.
